Privacy policy
This policy explains what ThriftKitty collects, why we collect it, and the controls you have. We do not sell your lesson history.

Who we are
ThriftKitty is the consumer app at thriftkitty.com. Contact hello@thriftkitty.com for privacy requests.
Information we collect
Guest play: a Supabase user id, onboarding answers (goals, experience, interests, age range), lesson choices, response timing, category unlocks, coin ledger entries, Picker Rating inputs, and device-persisted progress.
Linked account: the email address and password you create. We use that email to restore the same profile on another device.
Purchases: App Store, Play, or RevenueCat records needed to credit coin packs. We do not see your full card number.
Hunt: photos you submit, optional store price, scan mode, AI output, and whether a scan succeeded or failed. Images are stored in a private bucket.
Community: photos, item details, optional sale proof, and the credit name you choose.
Picker Battle: display name, stake, picks, and match outcome.
Support: whatever you send to hello@thriftkitty.com.
Diagnostics: basic app errors that help us fix crashes. We do not use advertising SDKs to track you across other apps.
How we use it
Operate training, wallets, unlocks, Hunt, Community, and Battle.
Measure skill and show Profile charts.
Credit or refund coins, including failed Hunt scans and reversed purchases.
Review Community finds and, if accepted, turn them into lessons.
Send Hunt photos to Google Gemini so the scan can run. See the AI policy.
Respond to support and protect the service from abuse.
Who we share with
Supabase hosts authentication, the database, and private image storage.
Google processes Hunt photos through Gemini when you scan.
Apple, Google, and RevenueCat process in-app purchases and notify us when a pack is bought or refunded.
We do not sell personal information or lesson history. We may share information if required by law or to stop fraud and abuse.
Retention
Guest progress stays until you delete the app or we delete the unused account.
Linked accounts and coin ledgers stay until you ask us to delete them, except records we must keep for purchases, refunds, or abuse.
Hunt images and Community uploads are kept while they are needed for your journal, review, or an accepted lesson. You can ask us to stop using an accepted find as a future lesson.
Your choices
You can play without creating an email account.
You can use Hunt and Community without those features; scans and submissions are optional.
Email hello@thriftkitty.com to request an export or deletion of your account. We will ask enough detail to find the right profile and will complete the request unless a legal exception applies.
Children
ThriftKitty is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe we have, email us and we will delete it.
Security and international processing
We use hosted infrastructure with access controls and private storage for Hunt and Community images. No method of transmission is perfectly secure.
Our providers may process data in the United States and other countries. If that applies to you, you consent to that processing by using the app.
Changes
We will update this page when our practices change. The date above is the current version.
